{"id":527,"date":"2023-02-05T19:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-02-05T19:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bestology.bestrobotics.org\/?p=527"},"modified":"2024-01-04T14:25:53","modified_gmt":"2024-01-04T14:25:53","slug":"week-1-journey-through-the-human-body","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bestology.bestrobotics.org\/index.php\/2023\/02\/05\/week-1-journey-through-the-human-body\/","title":{"rendered":"2023 Week 1 &#8211; Journey Through the Human Body"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Journey Through the Human Body<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>Week 1<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Welcome to bESTology 2023!<span>\u00a0 <\/span>In this year\u2019s theme, we will take a journey through the human body in order to see first hand that the human body functions much like the robots we design.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>Can you think of any similarities between the way our bodies function and the way our robots function?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How is your brain similar to the brain of our robots?<span> <\/span><\/li>\n<li>In what ways are the bones of your body similar to the structure of your robot?<span> <\/span><\/li>\n<li>What about the way the robot&#8217;s wiring connects its brain to its various motors or sensors? Answer these questions: What are the components of the BEST award? How do these components work together to make a complete robotics program?
