Airbus!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In 2015, Airbus will begin building the A320 aircraft in Mobile, Alabama.\u00a0 With pre-assembled components originating in Europe, various regions across the U.S. and other global locations, illustrate\/diagram the various modes of transportation required to get each component to the final assembly point &#8211; Mobile.\u00a0 Taking into consideration the size, weight and cost, summarize why Airbus has selected each segment\/mode to transport each piece of cargo, e.g. wings, fuselage sections, tail assembly (vertical and horizontal) and engines.\u00a0 Evaluate the geographic location of Mobile and determine how the factors such as a port with ships and barges, a long landing strip at Brookley Field, an interstate system, and rail access, helped Airbus make the decision to locate this undertaking in Mobile.\u00a0 Chart the advantages and disadvantages of the location with reference to the transportations costs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><i>(Note: \u00a0Airbus is a proud community partner of several BEST hubs and numerous BEST teams across America.\u00a0 Thank You Airbus!)<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #013b15;\"><b>BEST Robot: <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">During Warp X (the 2002 BEST game), robots were required to transport game pieces (cargo) through a black hole (an incline and a decline &#8211; ramp).\u00a0 Compare how an incline\/decline on a BEST field relates to the real-world, e.g. hills, bridges, ramps.
