Determine whether or not there is a direct correlation between the rock, carbon and water cycles and if so, explain the relationships.\u00a0 Continue to discuss why it is imperative for mining companies to employ the following:\u00a0 GPS engineer, exploration geologist, geophysicist, rock engineer, geotechnical engineer and a mapping geologist. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Writing:<\/span>\u00a0 <\/b>Time for a scavenger hunt!\u00a0 Using a map, plot a 3.14 radius around your school or home.\u00a0 Search and collect various types and sizes of rocks within the identified area.\u00a0 Determine if each rock is sedimentary, metamorphic or igneous.\u00a0 Create your own map showing the locations where each type of rock was found.\u00a0 Beside each location on the map, write a hypothesis of how each rock arrived to its current location.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><i>Challenge:<\/i>\u00a0 <i>Study the collected rocks and predict which rock weighs the closest to 3.14 lbs.
